We treat dreaming as a research discipline — ideation, prototyping, and the disciplined process of failure that a lab runs before it finds what works.
Instar Lab is our research and development facility, where scientists, physicists, astronomers, and product engineers conceptualize and prototype solutions for problems civilization hasn't fully named yet. We teach dream literacy by letting students shadow that process directly, learning a repeatable method for turning a dream into a specification, and a specification into something real.

We measure this work against the arc of civilization, not the school year — what physicists call moving up the Kardashev scale, toward a higher-energy, higher-capability future. Treating dreaming as a language lets us break that arc down into a model students can repeat: the same method our researchers use to move from open question to working prototype, instrumented through DreamTrack and the Capstone process so a student's trajectory stays auditable, not just aspirational.
