Senior developers volunteer their time to build training material that's rigorous without being intimidating, teaching the disconnect they've seen firsthand between wanting to code and actually mastering the craft. Developer Dojo treats software engineering as a discipline worth teaching properly — DevOps strategy, Agile technical leadership, and production-grade IT development, not just syntax.
Students get access to the same resources working engineers use to grow their own careers, and our senior developers run live coding sessions where participants follow along as real software gets built — not a simulation of the job, the job itself. Alongside the code, the Dojo teaches the habits that sustain a long engineering career: focus, a clean workspace, and disciplined DevOps practice.
Beyond the fundamentals, Developer Dojo prepares students for what technical interviews at high-caliber engineering teams actually test for, and gives those pursuing leadership roles a chance to practice leading Agile teams under the mentorship of senior staff before they do it for real. The Dojo runs year-long internship and hackathon programs with select partner teams, giving students direct exposure to how real software houses operate — architecture decisions, UX strategy, and hands-on version control with Git.
